How to Remove Candle Wax from a Glass Jar
The Freezer Method (Easiest for Most Soy Waxes)
- Place the glass candle jar in the freezer for a few hours or overnight. The cold temperature will cause the wax to shrink and harden, pulling away from the sides of the glass.
- Remove the jar from the freezer. The wax disc should come out easily. If it doesn't, gently tap the bottom of the jar on a protected surface or use a dull knife to carefully pry it out. It may break into pieces.
- Remove the wick tab. The metal wick tab at the bottom may still be stuck. You can usually remove it with a butter knife or by soaking the bottom in hot water to loosen the adhesive.
- Wash the jar with hot, soapy water to remove any wax or soot residue. A bottle brush can be helpful. Rinse well and dry.
The Hot Water Method (Ideal for Stubborn Areas)
- Remove as much of the solid wax as possible using a spoon or a blunt knife.
- Place the jar on a heat-resistant surface, such as a trivet or folded towel.
- Pour very hot (but not boiling) water into the jar, leaving some space at the top. The heat will melt the remaining wax, causing it to float to the surface.
- Allow the water to cool completely. The wax will solidify, forming a disc on top of the water. Remove this wax disc and discard it.
- Carefully pour out the water (do not pour it down the drain if wax remains). Remove the wick tab. Wash the jar thoroughly with hot, soapy water.

All sales are final. Due to the nature of our products and for hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for reasons such as change of mind, dislike of a scent after purchase, or other personal preferences. We encourage you to read the scent descriptions carefully before making a purchase.
II. Exception: Damaged or Incorrect Items
Your satisfaction is important to us, and we will gladly address any issues with items that arrive broken, damaged, or if you received an incorrect item.
III. What to Do if Your Item is Damaged or Incorrect:
- Inspect Your Order: Please inspect your order immediately upon receiving it.
- Notify Us Immediately: If your candle(s) arrive broken, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, please contact us within 10 days of delivery.
- Provide Proof: To help us resolve this quickly, please email us at chemecoluxe@gmail.com with the following information:
- Your order number.
- A clear description of the damage or the wrong item.
- Photographic evidence of the damaged item(s) and the packaging it arrived in.
- This information is crucial for our evaluation and any claims against our shipping company.
4. Our Action:
Once we receive your email and verify the damage or error, we will:
- Arrange for a replacement of the same item to be sent at no additional cost.
- If a replacement is not available, we will offer you a full refund for the damaged or incorrect item(s).
- We typically do not require you to return damaged or incorrect items, but we reserve the right to request their return at our expense in certain situations. We will inform you if a return is necessary.
IV. Exclusions (What Is NOT Covered Under "Damaged"):
- Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the candle's performance (for example, slight frosting, minor variations in the wax, or small air bubbles, as these are natural characteristics of hand-poured soy wax).
- Damage resulting from misuse, improper storage, or failure to follow candle care instructions.
- Used candles (unless the damage was present upon receipt and prevented their initial use).
