Meet the Founder

Chem Eco Luxe differentiates itself from other small candle companies not only through its commitment to sustainability but also by combining scientific expertise with a deep understanding of environmental responsibility.

The founder's background is the cornerstone of this differentiation. Lianette holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, providing her with a deep understanding of chemical reactions, material properties, analytical methods, and reliable literature research methods. It's not just about blending ingredients; it's about understanding how they interact, optimizing combustion performance, scent diffusion, and, most importantly, safety.

She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Cosmetic Science and Formulation Design. This field places a strong emphasis on ingredient safety, efficacy, and sustainable formulation. Lianette is being academically trained to select ingredients that are effective and safe for human health and the environment, applying her advanced knowledge of materials science, toxicology, and regulatory compliance to candle making.

Lianette has also worked as a Laboratory Chemist at a hazardous waste treatment company for over four years. This practical experience is invaluable, providing her with a first hand understanding of waste streams, environmental regulations, and the crucial importance of preventing pollution at the source. This commitment goes beyond theoretical sustainability; it is a profound dedication to minimizing environmental damage.

Materials That Set Us Apart

While many candle makers use soy wax, we specifically choose 464-45 Golden Soy Wax due to its high-quality blend and performance characteristics.

This wax offers a clean burn, excellent aroma diffusion, and a smooth finish, while also being renewable and biodegradable. Our chemical knowledge allows for an informed selection, as we understand the wax's composition and its interactions with other components.

Although natural cotton wicks are common, our scientific approach enhances our commitment to using non-toxic materials.

This ensures a cleaner burn and minimizes air pollutants that are often associated with conventional wicks.

This is a key differentiator for us. While many small candle companies rely on the claims made by fragrance oil suppliers, Chem Eco Luxe goes further by actively reviewing research and approvals from RIFM (Research Institute for Fragrance Materials).

Our choice of fragrances is intentional and well-informed, as we select fragrance oils only after they have received RIFM approval. This helps us eliminate potential irritants, allergens, and ecotoxicity. By consulting RIFM, Chem Eco Luxe proactively mitigates risks associated with fragrance ingredients, offering a level of safety that few small companies can match.
